Our proposal opened up the internal portal, maximising views into the Oasis at first floor level and referenced the new design language created in the mall by constructing a portal with tinted glass infill and illuminated signage to match the proportions of the shop frontages adjacent. The demolition of existing ceiling rafts and lighting allowed for a dynamic bespoke linear lighting scheme, with the assistance of Studiotech, which spans around the iconic dome from a network of catenary wires and the addition of natural timber cladding sympathetic with the rest of the mall.
